Discover information about the necromancer Valec Bael, a Dunmer. Rumor has it the necromancer has had success in using profoundly dark magic to bringing back those who have died as twisted abominations.

⌘ With the help of a Dunmer and allies, Miuo has learned of the Necromancer Valec Bael.⌘ Knowing his name she can begin looking into the necromancer in hopes of finding him or following his footsteps to bring her adoptive father back to life.

Stage 2

Status: Complete

Learn about what happened to the necromancer, the village he lived in and his villa.

Quest Results

⌘ Found out that one of the necromancer's experiments went wrong and caused the mass rising of undead individuals along with the opening of a portal that allowed daedra to surge out. Learned through visiting lost family shrines and speaking with some of the spirits what once lived in the village.⌘ The village he lived in was attacked and fell in the onslaught.⌘ The necromancer and his villa were sucked through a portal and vanished.

Stage 3

Try to find out where the Villa went, and if the necromancer is still alive.

Quest Results

⌘ Found records of a few sightings that match the description of the necromancer.⌘ Several sightings occurred around the same area. Miuo and a group of allies will set out to travel to where the necromancer has been spotted to search for clues.

Stage 4

Travel to the location Miuo and her allies discovered to look for signs of the necromancer.

⌘ After hours of searching Miuo and her allies found a cavern hidden away with a magical door that was locked. Through brute force and magic the doorway was destroyed and revealed a portal.

Stage 4

Cross through the portal to the necromancer's villa. Find his research, steal it and flee.

Quest Results

⌘ Miuo and her allies crossed through the portal to the villa. The villa looked like it existed in a pocket realm that was tainted and withering. All life seeming leeched from every plant and the the realm in general.⌘ With cautious they all entered the villa and began their search.⌘ In their search they discovered the necromancer had continued his research and experiments.⌘ Finding a variety of new victims the necromancer had experimented on. Most beyond saving,⌘ Those who could be spared further torment were put to death.⌘ The research was found, along with a crystal. The research mentions how the crystal is both a "key" and "map".⌘ A vessel containing tormented souls was found and destroyed. Causing a small explosion that nearly killed several individuals in the party.⌘ The explosion seemed to alert some sort of guard that protected the house. The party tried to flee, but could not get back to where they had come through. Finding another portal on the second floor. Miuo and two other mages set to work on unlocking it and opening it back to a safe location. The others tried to barricade and block the way to hold of the guard that turned out to be an Ogrim.⌘ Managing to get the portal open the party rushed through with barely any time to spare. Snapping the portal closed as the Ogrim came charging at the portal to follow them through.

Decipher the necromancer's research and the strange crystal. And how it is a key and map, along with how it fits into everything.

Quest Results

⌘ While Miuo and her allies were at the Willowreed Academy they were attacked by a Reaper. It nearly killed Miuo, if not for allies being there at the time of the attack she would have died.⌘ The necromancer spoke to her and the others through the reaper, saying they had stolen from him and that he would get back what was taken.⌘ Working together the group destroyed the reaper and parted ways to hide from the necromancer.⌘ The necromancer let slip the crystal is an "Honing Crystal",⌘ Miuo took the crystal and research back to her boarding house to seal it away in her vault and rely on the protection and wards of her house to keep the necromancer from tracking her or the items and finding them.

Stage 6

Status: Ongoing

Use the honing crystal to find the cult ruins mentioned in the necromancer's research.

Quest Results

⌘ Its been revealed the cult was called "Mors Hedera", The Death Ivy Cult, so named for the way something so harmless and unthreatning as creeping ivy can slowly ensnare and choke the life out of a mighty tree.⌘ Miuo has hired an individual to look into the crystal and necromancer's research.⌘ The crystal was cracked along one of its facets while it was being experimented on. Magic was forcibly fed into the crystal revealing runes cast by the inner light of the crystal before it went dark when it was cracked.
